Community Perspective free lunch and conversation at Fresh Start Recovery in Lethbridge

Join Fresh Start Recovery for another Lunch and Discussion in our ongoing Community Perspectives series in Lethbridge on March 15th on Recovery Housing & Community Supports. Combining a networking luncheon with an expert panel discussion, available for both in-person and online attendees.

Event Schedule:

  • Luncheon: 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM. An opportunity for attendees to connect before the main event.
  • Panel Discussion (Hybrid Format): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Join us in person or watch the live stream.

Panelist Insights:

  • Robin James, the Chief Administrative Officer at Lethbridge Housing Authority, will share expertise on innovative housing strategies.
  • Tammie Eraimson-Hiraga (MN, RN, CPMHN), Clinical Supervisor of AHS, Addictions Mental Health Outreach Team, will share her perspective on the support and housing needed for those on their recovery journey.
  • Dr. Terri-Lynn Fox of the Blood Tribe Department of Health, with her extensive background in wellness (PhD, MA, BA), will discuss the significance of community-based support.
  • Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh, from the Lethbridge Police Service, is a strong advocate for housing and offers a unique view on the role of law enforcement in supporting recovery within the community.
  • Bruce Holstead, our executive director, will provide insights into Fresh Start Recovery’s approach to integrating recovery housing, continuum of care, and the importance of community support.

This event aims to highlight the critical role of supportive recovery housing and community initiatives, offering diverse perspectives from leaders in the field. Your participation in Lethbridge or online contributes to a meaningful dialogue on how best to support those in recovery.
