Discover Fresh Start Recovery’s Comprehensive Support
At Fresh Start Recovery, we understand everyone’s journey to recovery is unique. We offer a holistic, compassionate approach that not only addresses the physical aspects of addiction but also nurtures each individual’s mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Our programming is designed to meet individuals where they are, providing the tools and support needed to build a foundation for a life in recovery.
Our staffing model is exceptionally diverse and eclectic in nature. We have over 250 years of combined lived experience among our 97 employees, giving us the ability to bring forth a practical empirically-based approach to treatment and support, reinforced with varying degrees of academic recognition, Ranging from R.S.W. to B.A. and inclusive of addiction studies recognized as Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellors Through CACCF.
Treatment: A Path to Recovery
Our 90-day treatment program lays the foundation of support within the Fresh Start continuum of care. The ongoing evolution of our treatment program emphasizes our understanding of the importance of developing best practices and measuring outcomes. This methodology has set Fresh Start Recovery as a leader in addiction treatment. Our program review indicates an 80% group completion rate and a 53% success rate of continuous abstinence-based recovery after one year of completing treatment. We are accredited through Accreditation Canada, licenced through the Government of Alberta, and have been peer-reviewed, meeting the highest level of consistent quality of care and protocol in dealing with those we serve.
Outreach Support: Continuing the Journey
After treatment, clients are recognized as alumni and introduced to outreach support services. During this transition, clients may be allowed to extend their stay at our treatment facility, move into post-treatment housing, or return home. No matter where they are, our commitment to their recovery journey continues.
Day Program: An Alternative to Live-in Treatment
For those with a safe and supportive home environment, our Day Program offers the same comprehensive treatment content as our live-in treatment, with the flexibility to return home after dinner each evening. This option is ideal for individuals who require the structure and support of our services while still allowing them to navigate the complexities and the responsibilities of their home life.
Friends and Family – Coming Together Series
Fresh Start Recovery, we understand that addiction affects not just the individual but everyone who cares about them. This is why we offer our Friends and Family series, a heartfelt initiative designed to support those navigating the complexities of loving someone through addiction, recovery, or loss. This series is more than just a guide; it’s an opportunity for you to embark on your journey of growth and healing. We recognize that the changes addiction brings to individuals and family dynamics are often subtle yet profound. Our series provides a compassionate space to explore these shifts and learn more about yourself. With love and understanding, we invite you to join us in this short but in-depth series. Together, we’ll help you find strength, resilience, and a path forward, no matter where you are on this journey.
Alumni
At Fresh Start Recovery, we believe in connection and the strength of shared experiences. The Fresh Start Alumni is a vibrant community of individuals who have completed our treatment and the Family and Friends series. The Fresh Start Alumni meet weekly for their own alumni meetings, where they continue to support one another on their recovery journeys. We are here to support every individual on their path to recovery because we believe in Every Individual Recovery for Life.
Community Partnerships
Fresh Start Recovery recognizes the importance of building strong community connections, as belonging to a community can help develop a stronger sense of personal and collective identity. We acknowledge the value and importance of other organizations within the community who share the same values. These community relationships are essential for the client’s long-term recovery after leaving the facility and returning to the community. By sharing resources, we ensure all client needs can be met. Community relationships are significant in creating a sense of purpose, building connections, and offering social support.
